Getting Ready for a Dream Wedding at Arreton Manor

If you are looking for your dream Manor house wedding venue, look no further than Arreton Manor on the Isle of Wight, the setting for Hannah and Kurt's stunning September wedding.

The Sun was already shining, and as I arrived, the bridesmaids' dresses and shoes were carefully arranged alongside the bride's stunning gown and makeup artist Jo Lofthouse was finishing up the final touches for the bridal party. While the bridal party finished getting ready, I captured a few candid shots of the Groomsmen setting up the ceremony area, moving chairs, and making sure everything was perfect for the day ahead. The kids entertained themselves on the soft play and bouncy castle provided by The Little Party Company, and Carrie from Wed & Prosper made sure all the little details were set up perfectly in the marquee.

A Romantic Garden Ceremony at Arreton Manor

The ceremony took place on the water terrace, an enchanting spot that evoked the feel of a Tuscan villa. Guests were seated along a tree-lined central aisle, with water fountains adding a touch of elegance on either side. The floristry was provided by Sarah Matthews and featured lush greenery, white roses, daisies, and grasses, creating a serene and timeless atmosphere.  The ceremony was as beautiful and emotive as the setting. I captured plenty of natural moments filled with laughter, smiles, and a few tears. We snuck in a few portraits of Hannah & Kurt before they descended the stone steps from the terrace into the gardens, where it rained down confetti and congratulations from family and friends.

Relaxing Garden Wedding Reception at Arreton Manor

After the heartfelt ceremony, guests and the newlyweds relaxed in the beautiful gardens of Arreton Manor. The reception was held in a large marquee, and The Events Co provided delicious catering. A sweet station and crisp wall delighted guests of all ages. Outside, children enjoyed the bouncy castle and lawn games while singer Ben Stubbs entertained everyone with a fantastic set.

Speeches were filled with laughter and tears, capturing the day's emotional highs. The cake, crafted by Frostbite Bakery, was a three-tier masterpiece with white chocolate & raspberry, banoffee, and lemon flavours. Adorned with white roses, eucalyptus, and gold leaf, it was a stunning centrepiece.

Perfect Portraits for a Garden Wedding at Arreton Manor

Arreton Manor's main entrance made the perfect backdrop for the family portraits, although I am predominantly a documentary photographer, I still understand how important these can be to our couples and their families. We always try to keep them light-hearted and relaxed, take a few quick snaps and let the celebrations continue. Its usually the perfect time to capture a few fun moments with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. I always recommend a short break (or two) during the day, just 5-10 minutes for the couple to be alone, breathe each other in and take stock of the day. Its often the first moments they get to spend together, just the two of them and the time most get to say "we did it!" We used this time with Hannah & Kurt to take a walk through the enchanting gardens of Arreton Manor. We captured their first moments as a married couple using the manor’s beautiful tree-lined steps, water terrace, and maze, creating stunning images that reflected their love for each other.

Live Music & Laughter to End an Arreton Manor Wedding

As the evening set in, guests danced and chatted the night away to live music from "You Know Who." Baked by Jen supplied an incredible dessert table, while Shuffles Events provided more entertainment with a photo booth and props. The courtyard came alive with fun and laughter. Guests enjoyed the music and good company, while Enchanted Cheeks Facepainting & Body Art provided face painting.

It was a perfect end to a magical day.
