SJ Jones Photography is run by Husband and Wife team Steve and Heather Jones.

Steve is an award winning full time photographer based on the Isle of Wight covering all areas of the UK and Europe.

From a young age Steve has always been fascinated by photography and found that family holidays were spent looking through a lens. From the excitement of waiting to see his images once developed, to the technical advantages of digital photography his passion is as strong now as it was twenty years ago stood on a beach in Cornwall. 

In October 2015 Steve decided to leave his job as a screen printer and take the chance of turning a passion into a business. He bought with him 10 years of experience working closely to client briefs, extreme attention to detail and accurate colour representation and puts this knowledge into every image he creates. To further his knowledge, creativity and ensure he is always pushing forward, in 2020 Steve has also started a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography.

Steve is also a member of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce, the society of wedding and portrait photographers and society of international commercial & industrial photographers. In 2018 he placed first in a prestigious national competition, with his work featured in The Times, The Guardian and Daily Mail and was judged and critiqued by world renowned explorer, photographer and writer, Levison Wood.

In late 2018 Steve also created a commission for the National Housing Federation for use in The National Housing Summit to be used on the same stage as the Prime Minister and other key Westminster speakers. His commercial work can be seen daily in national advertising campaigns across multiple platforms.

Heather is the vital second half of the team keeping everything organised in the background. Despite being a Mum to 2 year old Delilah, working full time as a special needs primary school teacher and a school governor she is always busy behind the scenes booking new sessions, liaising with clients, designing wedding albums and when time allows assisting on shoots. Her wealth of experience with children of all ages, needs and backgrounds makes her a fantastic asset for family sessions.

Together Heather & Steve are building a business that they are passionate about, truly proud of and has family centred at its core.
